The Snake clan will regularly get outpaced by other clans in their attempts to go for a passive victory and their military lore's mean that they aren't suited to claiming a win. My next piece of advice would be to prepare to play Northgard in a very different way to what you are used to. Each Clan has different characteristics and bonuses unique to that Clan. The snake clan has a slower economy than every other clan and also has to make do with a weaker military, so a careful and precise use of the clan's unique abilities is needed to get an edge on other clans.
